HARRIS COUNTY – A deadly accident occurred on North Freeway early Tuesday morning, resulting in the death of one person. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was involved in a crash when a car crashed into him while he loaded equipment onto an 18-wheeler on North I-45 North Freeway.
Reports indicate that the vehicle collided with the back of the 18-wheeler. Tragically, the victim was decapitated and trapped under the vehicle following the collision.
Emergency services including the Houston Fire Department and the Harris County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene to handle the situation. The northbound lanes of the North Freeway were temporarily shut down as authorities worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the cause of the accident.
